Therapy

Children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related development delays may receive a variety of therapy services. Some common types of therapy include:

  1. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): ABA is a type of therapy that focuses on changing specific behaviors through positive reinforcement and other techniques. It can be used to help children with ASD (and related deficits) improve their communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors.
  2. Speech and Language Therapy: Children with ASD (and related deficits) may have difficulty communicating and understanding language, so speech and language therapy can help them improve their communication skills.
  3. Occupational Therapy: Occupational therapy can help children with ASD (and related deficits) improve their fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and sensory processing.
  4. Social Skills Therapy: Children with ASD (and related deficits) may have difficulty interacting with others, so social skills therapy can help them learn how to interact with others in different social situations.
  5. Play therapy: Children with ASD (and related deficits) can benefit from play therapy to help them with emotional regulation, communication, and social interactions.

It's important to note that different children with ASD (and related deficits) may have different needs, so the therapy services provided will be tailored to the individual child's needs.
